Hey there, fellow wanderers—welcome to the official campfire of Wandering Gypsy RV Life! If you’re searching for real stories, practical tips, and a hearty dose of humor about full-time RV living, you’ve rolled into the right spot. Here’s who we are, what we do, and why we believe life is best lived one mile—and one story—at a time.
Meet Stan Cromlish: Storyteller, Road Warrior, and Your Guide

I’m Stan Cromlish—the voice (and sometimes the comic relief) behind Wandering Gypsy RV Life. My journey started before I could walk, with my parents whisking me off on road trips to meet relatives in Pennsylvania. The travel bug bit early, and it’s never let go. From chasing rodeos in my twenties to crossing off all 50 states, the open road has always felt like home.
But it was the unexpected twist of the 2020 pandemic that truly set this adventure in motion. When remote work became the new normal, I traded my desk for a driver’s seat, bought a motorhome, and set out to live the RV dream—full time. Since then, I’ve logged thousands of miles, survived a few campground WiFi battles, and learned that every detour has a lesson (and usually a story worth sharing).
I’m not just a traveler—I’m a part-time repair wizard, podcast host, and believer in the power of community. Whether I’m wrestling with a stubborn Schwintek slide, fixing a front cap in a thunderstorm, or brewing coffee for new friends at sunrise, I bring heart, humor, and honesty to every mile. Through my blog and podcast, I share the ups, downs, and sideways moments of RV life—so you can learn, laugh, and maybe avoid a few rookie mistakes (like the infamous awning incident).
Meet the Rolling Tribe: Bertie Bea & Rosie
No journey is complete without a trusty crew. For me, that’s Bertie Bea and Rosie—the real stars of this rolling show.

Bertie Bea is my 2016 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34PA and my home on wheels. She’s got the muscle (thanks, Ford V10), the space, and the spirit for adventure. From mountain passes to lakeside camps, Bertie Bea is always up for a new horizon, welcoming fellow travelers with a warm cup of coffee and a comfy seat.

Rosie—my 2018 Chevrolet Equinox—is the nimble sidekick, always hitched up and ready for side trips. Whether I’m grabbing supplies, exploring historic towns, or scouting out the next fly-fishing spot, Rosie’s the go-to ride for the little adventures that make the big journey possible.
